Originally from Westfield, NJ, Pat Glynn has performed in just about every musical situation imaginable. He's played in 49 states (sorry Utah) and 10 countries. He's played with Sam Rivers and Sigur Ros; for flying cars (Chitty-Chitty, Bang-Bang) and flying ladies (Mary Poppins), although not while flying; for Mickey (mouse that is) and Konishiki. His professional performing experience includes all styles of music but has remained tethered to jazz and Broadway for the last several years.
Since moving to Tokyo in 2007, Pat has continued performing in a variety of groups, playing with artists including Lisa Ono, Seiko Matsuda, and Junko Yagami, as well as backing up jazz artists like Eric Alexander, Dick Oatts, and Eddie Henderson while o tour in Japan. He can be seen around Tokyo at venues like the Blue Note, Cotton Club, Motion Blue, and Body and Soul as well as at some of the many world-class hotels. He released his first album as a leader "Who's On Bass" featuring Cyrus Chestnut and Carl Allen in 2014.
Pat is also active in music education and has taught students of all ages. Currently he is Adjunct Professor of Music at Lakeland University in Tokyo where he teaches music history and music theory.

１９７４年４月２８日）。８歳の時トランペットを始め、１３歳でチューバを始めた。後にベースギターとコントラバスを始める。ジェームズ·マディソン大学（B.M.、チューバ）と北イリノイ大学へ入学（M.M. コントラバス）。Mary Poppins, Chicago: The Musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, 等を始めとし、沢山のブロードウェイショーにて演奏。また、ニューヨークのジャズクラブと演奏所Blue Note, Small’s, Cleopatra’s Needle, Town Hall, the Bitter Endで演奏を行った。Sam Rivers, Sigur Ros, Bobby Vintonといったアーティスト達と演奏を重ねた。２００７年に来日してからは，Eddie Henderson, 松田聖子, Eric Alexander, 八神純子やといったアーティスト達と共演。２０１４年始めてのリーダーアルバム ”フーズ オン ベース” とサイラス チェスナット（ピアノ）、カール アレーン（ドラム）を リリースした。レイクランド大学ジャパン キャンパスで音楽を教えている。
